Susan, here are some candidates' guides among the resources I've collected at http://marketliberal.org/tools/:
- Libertarian Political Action
- A Libertarian Candidate's Guide
- Techniques for Effective Campaigning
- Winning Local Elections
- Candidate Recruitment Manual
- Candidates' Questions Answered
- LP Strategic Plan appendices 5 & 6 on types of campaigns
Rather than re-inventing any of these wheels, I would suggest synthesizing and improving -- or at least indexing and annotating -- their content using a series of articles at either http://lpedia.org or http://libertarianwiki.org. The main differences between them are
- LPedia uses the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike license, whereas LibertarianWiki requires that content be in the public domain.
- LPedia is owned and operated by LPUS, whereas Paul Studier runs LibertarianWiki. Given how content on lp.org has a habit of disappearing, that's arguably a point in favor of LibertarianWiki, as Paul is a very well-respected LPCA activist.
- LibertarianWiki currently has significantly more content than LPedia.
I've cc'd Paul in case he has any guidance to offer here.
